Beef Sustainability Package

The Beef Sustainability Package will aim to help ensure the future viability of the beef sector, by helping the sector to keep pace with competitors, improve profitability, resilience and importantly reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
It comprises the following two measures which together seek to improve productivity and reduce emissions from older non-breeding animals:

• Beef Carbon Reduction (BCR) scheme - open now
• Suckler Cow scheme - will open in 2025
